  1. Click here to print out the Mr. Bingle Frame Pattern.
  2. Cut out the frame front and frame back. Lay pattern pieces on your posterboard and carefully trace around all pieces. If you need to, you may use a couple of small pieces of tape to secure the pattern to keep it from moving. (Fig. A)
  3. Using scissors, carefully cut out the frame pieces. You may want to carefully score along the dashed lines on the frame pattern. This will help insure your fold lines are sharp and crisp.
  4. Run a line of glue around the edge of the frame back. Attach frame front to frame back. (Fig. B)
  5. Cut out the rest of the pattern pieces. Lay the pattern pieces on your scraps of posterboard and carefully trace around all pieces. (Fig. C)
  6. Carefully cut out all pieces. Using glue, attach Mr. Bingle's vest, mittens, and hat. Turn him over and attach his wings. With a marker, add the detail lines to his wings, legs, and hat and draw on his mouth. Tie the green ribbon into a bow and glue it to his neck. Also glue on the eyes, nose and jingle bell. Use Fig. D for placement.
  7. If you prefer a different method, you may print out the Mr. Bingle artwork and transfer the image. Place a sheet of transfer paper, transfer side down, on a piece of posterboard. Next, lay the Mr. Bingle patter on top, design-side up. If you need to, you may use a couple of small pieces of tape to keep the pattern from moving. (Fig. E)
  8. Using a ballpoint pen, carefully trace over all of the lines in the design. Remove the pattern and transfer paper. Using scissors, cut out your Mr. Bingle figure.
  9. Using markers, paint, crayons or color pencils, color in the Mr. Bingle design. When using paints or markers, it is best to color all areas of the design first. Let it dry, then go over the outlines with a black marker at the end. This will keep the black outline from bleeding into areas of lighter color and will give you crisp, sharp outlines.
  10. Using glue, attach your Mr. Bingle figure to the frame. (Fig. F)
