U.S. Citizens

All U.S. Citizens traveling outside the United States must carry the proper documentation. Failure to provide proper documentation could result in denied boarding on a cruise or a flight. Your reservation must have your legal name as it appears on your proof of citizenship. It is the passenger's responsibility to obtain and carry proper documentation. Any expenses incurred are the passenger's sole responsibility. Requirements change regularly. Please call a Dillard's Travel Consultant for the most current information.

  1. NEW PASSPORT REQUIREMENTS BEGINNING DECEMBER 31, 2006
    1. For all travel not completed before December 31, 2006, a VALID U.S. PASSPORT will be required for all travel by air or sea to/from the Caribbean, Bermuda, Central and South America.
    2. Passports must be valid for a minimum of 6 months beyond the completion of travel.
  2. Travel to Canada (including Alaska cruises) and Mexico:
    1. A VALID U.S. PASSPORT is recommended and will be required beginning December 31, 2006.
    2. Passports must be valid for a minimum of 6 months beyond the completion of travel.
    3. Until December 31, 2006, in lieu of a valid passport, an original birth certificate or a State-issued certified copy with the state seal and a government-issued photo I.D. with identical given and surnames are required. If the given and surnames are not identical on the birth certificate and government-issued photo I.D., a linking document will also be required; for example, a marriage license or adoption papers. The linking document must state the name on the original birth certificate. Reservations must be made under the names on your government-issued photo I.D.

    Minor Children
    If using a birth certificate (as described above) for proof of citizenship, all persons 16 years of age and older must also provide a government-issued photo I.D. The name on the photo I.D. and on the birth certificate must be identical. In the even of a name change, legal documentation supporting this change is required.
    Minor children 18 years or younger not traveling with both natural parents must have an original notarized letter (photocopies are not acceptable) from the natural parent(s) who are not traveling, giving permission for the minor children to travel with the designated adult. In the event the natural parent(s) no longer have legal custody or are deceased, legal documentation will be required.

  3. Other foreign countries:
    1. A valid U.S. passport, valid for at least 6 months beyond the completion of travel, is required for all travelers.
    2. Entry Visas: Some countries on your itinerary may require you to obtain and carry with your passport an entry visa issued by the foreign government.

Non-U.S. Citizens: Please consult the U.S. Immigration Office and/or U.S. Embassy and your local Embassy for information. Please note: Non-U.S. citizens will also have different Visa and immigration requirements, so you will need to check the entry requirements of each country you are visiting.
