This is probably the nicest one I've ever owned, and at 60 years old, I've owned quite a few crock pots over the years. I got an excellent deal at costco, at a price I couldn't resist! I am giving my old pot to a friend who is just learning how to use them. I would enjoy the lunch pot, since I don't have access to my own microwave at work.

What good is convenience if flavor is destroyed? Every dish I've ever made in this CrockPot results in the same terrible burnt flavor at the end. I've tried chili, curry, and soups; they all end with the same terrible flavor. The only success I've had is making food in other pots and then placing it in the CrockPot to stay warm. Clearly there is an issue with the heating element in this device or with the materials in the pot itself that it imparts this terrible taste. I've had the same result using both the low and high settings. I'm not satisfied, and it was a waste of money (and a lot of food). I'm now looking to purchase something else.

Comments about Crock Pot Stainless Steel 6-Quart Slow Cooker with Little Dipper Warmer:

I have used this several times, clean up so easy, I needed a new crock pot and I chose this particular one because of being able to use it on the stove top. My only small problem is not being able to use metal spoons and needs to be more dishwasher safe!!! Cooks wonderful

      Cooks way too hot!

Comments about Crock Pot Stainless Steel 6-Quart Slow Cooker with Little Dipper Warmer:

Boils on High, on Low and even on Keep Warm!!! This can't be right! Luckily, I have an old crockpot, but I like the fact that this will "supposedly" go to a Keep Warm setting if I can't get home in time to turn it off. Does the company have a fix for this???

Warm Setting is the hottest setting

Comments about Crock Pot Stainless Steel 6-Quart Slow Cooker with Little Dipper Warmer:

If I want this crock-pot to boil within 30 minutes all I have to do is use the warm setting. The high setting is hot, the low setting is hot, and the warm setting is the hottest. I don't dare leave this unit unattended and consequently rarely use it. I have to rely on my older and smaller slow cooker when I want to cook a slow cooker meal.

      Worked great...until digital component died.

Comments about Crock Pot Stainless Steel 6-Quart Slow Cooker with Little Dipper Warmer:

We've been using our crockpot for over a year and have really liked it. The timer feature was one of the main reasons we picked this crockpot. Unfortunately the digital element broke today while we were cooking in it... huge bummer. Thankfully we noticed it was off within an hour so food was still warm and we could transfer to pot on stovetop. Would have been really sad if we hadn't noticed for hours. Gave fair rating because we liked it so much..but now it's unusable.

      Not a happy customer

Comments about Crock Pot Stainless Steel 6-Quart Slow Cooker with Little Dipper Warmer:

Have only owned this product for about 5 months and learned immediately there is not a big difference in "warm" and "high". The stone insert ended up cracking and breaking the last time we used on "warm" to keep mashed potatoes warm for a dinner. Just thankful it was of solid substance and didn't happen with a pot full of roast and juice when we were away.

Way too hot, burns every dish!!

Comments about Crock Pot Stainless Steel 6-Quart Slow Cooker with Little Dipper Warmer:

I received this as a Christmas gift, every single soup, dessert, casserole, meat, etc... I have made I'm this crockpot has burnt. I have even decreased the length I set it for cooking on low by 2 hrs and it still burns. There is something seriously wrong with the heating element. It's so disappointing because I really like the timer part but it means nothing when it ruins all the food.

      Weird Odor And Flavor

      By

      from Chicago, IL, United States

Comments about Crock Pot Stainless Steel 6-Quart Slow Cooker with Little Dipper Warmer:

I bought this particular crock pot a few months ago after it was time to get rid of my old one. Unfortunately every dish cooked in this crock pot has a very distinct odor and flavor of rubber. I have used this crock pot at least 10+ times and the only thing I can think of that is creating that odor/flavor is the lid's inner lining. I don't think I will be able to use anymore and will most like have to purchase a new one.

      Just fine for my needs

Comments about Crock Pot Stainless Steel 6-Quart Slow Cooker with Little Dipper Warmer:

I purchased this crock pot a few weeks ago. It replaces a cusinart 3in1 slow cooker. It lasted the waranty period then stopped working. I did use it constantly but was unwilling to pay that much again. I'm sure this crock pot will serve my needs, at least, I hope so. I have used it once. I really enjoyed how quite it is. 3in1 was quite noisy.

      Surface cracks after 3rd use

      By

Comments about Crock Pot Stainless Steel 6-Quart Slow Cooker with Little Dipper Warmer:

I received this as a gift and though I wish to use it often, it has not received a ton of use when I have moved around the country and it stayed home in NY. I have used it maybe a 1/2 a dozen times. Today I made stuffed peppers, plenty of water in the insert. The outside now has a ton of hairline cracks on one side like it has been scratched, but it was burnt because brown residue came off on my hands. It also stuck to the inside of the pot. I am concerned the inserts cracks will deepen rendering it useless. Otherwise, I have really loved using it.
