shoe fit vs. strap fit
from Palm Harbor, Florida
Comments about Josef Seibel Faye 35 Ankle-Strap Flats:
The shoe itself fits well, but the elastic straps are too tight with my somewhat high arches and they dig into my foot and ankle showing my foot and ankle puffing out around the straps. I think the straps should have had some adjustment available The leather part of the shoe as always with Joseph Seibel is very comfortable with no wear in period. I don't know what to do about the strap. I thought of ironing part of it to take away its stretch? Any ideas? I am on my feet all day at Dillards as a sales associate and with no coffee or rest breaks and just lunch off it is difficult to find comfortable shoes for all the hours of constant standing. The other Joseph Seibel shoes (3 pairs) I have are more comfortable due to shoelaces or adjustable velcro straps that can adjust for my high instep. I think for someone who was not four to six hours at a time standing these shoes might work better than they do for me.
