A great product but woefully lacking in good recipes to use. You have to just try things out yourself to determine times and temperatures. There are just so many more things that can be cooked in this airfryer than you show in your little recipe book. But, putting that aside, I find myself using it more and more and doing a lot of experimenting on my own. It is a fabulous cooking device.

The user manual states not to cook raw potatoes above 356 degrees Fahrenheit yet the settings are marked at 30 degree increments so you either have to use 330 or 360. While the recipe manual doesn't give this warning and instructs to cook them above this temperature. The user manual instructs as a general rule to cook things at 70 degrees lower than you would in an traditional oven and for 1/2 the time. I've found you need to use the same temperature setting and the same time. This does not brown on both sides. The only large item I've cooked were pork chops (1 at a time) and had to turn them 1/2 way through so both sides were browned, and I had to cook them for 16 minutes each after preheating (3/4 in. thick bone-in). In cooking potato rounds in a single layer I had to cook them on 360 degree setting and for 12 min. after preheating and shaking 1/2 way through (they were lightly golden), the bag of potato rounds said to bake in the oven at 350 for 10-15 min.

Comments about Philips Viva Airfryer with Rapid Air Technology:

The air fryer is easy to use and easy to clean. Also, it has no problems closing, as was the case with one we previously purchased from another manufacturer. It does a good job, and is about the right size for two people.

Comments about Philips Viva Airfryer with Rapid Air Technology:

This product is much faster than cooking in the oven and much less use of electricity. Also does not heat up the kitchen. Cook without oil is very good. I have to dial in the temperature i desire. If I bought another one I would probably get the one with a display screen. So far I have cooked frozen fried chicken & frozen fried fish. My wife loves it and she is a real health nut. I really like it and I am a foodie!

Comments about Philips Viva Airfryer with Rapid Air Technology:

I use my fryer at least 3 times a week. I love how easy it is to clean. I still need to tackle frying O' Brien potatoes that come frozen. My first try left them dry. Panko coated fish and chicken are my favorite. I definitely would recommend this product.

Comments about Philips Viva Airfryer with Rapid Air Technology:

This product has almost taken the place of my oven. I can bake frozen foods, dinners, appetizers and dry rubbed room temp chicken wings. If you look on Pinterst or You-Tube, you will find great recipes to use with this product. I have the digital model which is precise and cooks great every time.

Comments about Philips Viva Airfryer with Rapid Air Technology:

This product works great and makes fried food without the deep frying. You can prepare healthy and tasty fries in 20 minutes. When I got the package I did not expect it to be approximately 12-15" high and 12" width and depth. I thought it was a much smaller product. Philips could probably advertise this product next to a person or known object for size comparison. Because of the size, I had to find a special place to store it. Other than that I highly recommend this product.

I have used my Air fryer for several applications and Can say that I really like it. The only thing that I Would change would be to increase the capacity. I am only cooking for two and it is just barely adequate. I am not sure there is a larger model.i if so I Would suggest getting the largest model available.

Comments about Philips Viva Airfryer with Rapid Air Technology:

We love our air fryer and the way it cooks the food! We have thoroughly enjoyed everything we have cooked in our air fryer. The meat is cooked all the way through, the french fries and onion rings are crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside (or crunchy on the inside, too, if you like them that way!). The only complaint is having to cook only one or two pieces of meat at a time and only a handful of french fries, onion rings, or other side items. In the end it makes the timing longer, which can sometimes make cooking a meal the same as cooking it in the oven instead. The pictures on the machine are not very helpful as it is hard to determine what they are a picture of making the suggested timing for a particular food item hard to know. It would also be helpful to have a bigger selection of items that can be cooked and how in a booklet included with the machine.
