I agree with the first reviewer - this dress is ideal for mature brides. Everywhere I looked it seemed the assumption is that if you are a mature bride you must be a plus size. At size 8 it was impossible to find a dress until I saw this one. Ideal for our fall beach wedding!

As an older bride (55+), I have literally searched online for months for a dress to wear for my second wedding. It would seem to me that the Buyers/Designers have forgotten that there are a few women that are neither plus size nor so far over the hill that all we desire is elastic waist pants. (Try to find a dress that isn't styled so "young" that the teenager next door would look cute or that doesn't hit you mid-thigh!)

This Alex Evenings dress will be my wedding gown for a quiet civil ceremony. It is elegant, classic, timeless and with the sequins still has a bit of glamour to set it apart from a normal street dress. Of course, I will have to take it to the seamstress to hem to knee-length, but when that is done, it will also be a dress I will wear again for a cocktail party or a reception. Be sure to buy it in your "real" size; I followed the advice in the other reviews and it was a perfect "10". In every way...
