I received this skirt just in time to wear it to a musical performance of "Blast!" It was an 8PM performance, so dressing up was definitely called for. This skirt is gorgeous! It is a thin chiffon-like layer over a slightly more fitted polyester-like layer. It is very pretty and will be perfect for upcoming holiday parties - even New Year's Eve. It is black, so it is a great addition to any wardrobe. It looks great with tops and jackets (ie work) to silk or chiffon blouses, to glittery tees, to sweaters. I wore it with a sequined, long, strait tunic-length sweater, and it looked wonderful. It could be really dressed up with lots of bling, or worn with a simple black top and flats. I am 5'4.5" and the skirt comes just above floor length for me (so I could wear it with flats). If you are a bit shorter, true flats might not be an option. The length, color, and strait cut are very slimming. Feminine and versatile. At less than $100 this is a steal!
