I got this as a wedding gift and was very excited to use it for the first time during a dinner party. It looked great and was very functional. Unfortunately, after gently hand-washing it, the glass around the handle broke. I can't attribute the break to anything besides hand-washing, because nothing else happened that could have damaged it. Very disappointed...

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
