Comments about Arturo Chiang Alan Tall Boots:
This is a good-looking, comfortable boot. Very stylish but a little hard to get on and off. The fasteners on the buckles were all loose, luckily I didn't lose the one that opened during my first wear and was able to screww it back on. Makes me a little concerned about wearing them, though.

Comments about Arturo Chiang Alan Tall Boots:
I own another pair of Arturo Chiang boots (elsie). I was really excited to get these because of how well-made and comfortable my other boots are. When i got these, I immediately began to wonder if they are fakes. The leather is stiff and almost "pleather" like. The stitching is sub-par and threads are sticking out everywhere. The lining looks like a cheap, thin microsuede material. The bottom of the heels also seem to be made of a cheaper plastic than the other pair of boots that I have. Additionally, the unseamed leather edging, that runs about 3 inches from the top of the boots, is fraying (see pictures). So I have to trim it every once in a while so it doesnt look too cheap. And as mentioned in another review, the screws come loose and are a pain to reattach. I didnt bother to return these because I got them as a gift and didnt want to go through the hassle. I did try to research them because the quality between my two pairs were so drastically different. I could not find this style on any other website, which brought me to a dead end- maybe its an older style?? I'll just keep them until i wear them out or until they fall apart, whichever comes first. Love Arturo Chiang, love the look of these, but dont love the quality for the price paid. Hopefully you will have better luck.

Comments about Arturo Chiang Alan Tall Boots:
The studs on the back of these boots that hold the leather slats in place CONSTANTLY come apart. They unscrew - then the studs pop out, the slats are just hanging there, and before you know it - you've lost the stud. Then the boot is ruined. Don't waste your money on this boot. They look adorable - for about 2 wks, until you've lost half your studs, have leather slats hanging all over, and your boot looks ridiculus. Aggravated by these things!!

Comments about Arturo Chiang Alan Tall Boots:
I absolutely love these boots and I cannot say it enough, the pics do not do them justice AT ALL. I would not have looked at this boot online and thought I would have liked them but when I went dillards to look they immediately caught my eye. The straps in the back are a fabulous touch and set these boots apart from the hundreds of identical riding boots. They are a bit stiff right out of the box but started to loosen up after a few minutes. I wear between an 8 & 8 1/2 and I definitely needed the 8 1/2. I'm 5'6 and these hit me about an inch and a half below the knee. They are also roomier in the calf than the majority of riding boots. They just look amazing on. Also, the whiskey color online is a wierd copper looking suede, it does not look anything like that IRL, they are a beautiful lighter brown with a red tint, pretty close to the color of actual whiskey. You really need to see them IRL to appreciate them.

Comments about Arturo Chiang Alan Tall Boots:
These are comfortable boots, but there is a problem with the studs. They are actually screws. I wore them for two hours and the very bottom stud on both legs came unscrewed. I had a hard time find a style I liked, so I'll be keeping them and maybe use a little glue when I screw them back in. They also run a little big in the foot.

Comments about Arturo Chiang Alan Tall Boots:
I really had high hopes for these boots since I had been searching forever for a pair. Love the color, detail and overall general look of these boots. My only compliant is that they sit right under your ankle so when you try and walk in them it constantly rubs right under the ankle joint making them unbearable to walk in. Think I might have to get some inserts so that this does not happen. So, with that said, I am once again on the hunt for some boots!
