Very good material. Lays nicely and layers nicely. I have it in mussell in the long sleeve and will buy the white. I haven't washed this one, but have 2 capped sleeve tops and they wash well on the delicate cycle. I highly recommend this top for any wearing occasion.

I bought both white and black in Petite Medium. The fit was true to size ( I usually wear a petite 8-10 blouse) and the fabric is really soft. I wear it underneath suit jackets to work and it works well as a nice shell. I have not washed it yet. Even though it is silk, the fabric care says that you can hand wash it. I plan to put it on the delicate cycle in the machine and hang to dry. This is why I only gave it 4 stars because I do not know how it will stand up after washing.
Overall, this was a great purchase. I am always pleased with the quality of Eileen Fisher!
