Comments about InStyler Zebra Rotating Hot Iron Hair Styler:
First off, i'm of mixed Black/Middle Eastern descent and I have very heavy, thick, coarse tailbone length hair with a loose zig zag wave pattern. I broke my Big CHI and after seeing good reviews decided to try this in the hopes that it would be easier, faster, and do less potential damage to my hair. Boy was I wrong.
It didn't get hot enough to really straighten my hair (it made it straight-ish with a hint of frizz) and I had to divide it into such tiny sections and leave it on my hair for so long that it would have taken me HOURS to finish it... if I could have finished it at all. Even with tiny sections, by the fifth one the brush bristles were starting to bend out of shape and they weren't holding my hair against the barrel. It also made my hair extremely dry despite the use of a heat protector and argan oil which was a MAJOR issue for me. I don't particularly love my super long Rapunzel hair, but my boyfriend most certainly does and since I choose to keep it long like this I want it to continue to be my trademark healthy, shiny, super thick mane. Not dull and dry with heat damage and split ends. We all know any heat source will cause damage, but there is a big difference when that heat is from a 400F flat iron that straightens in one pass and is only on any one section of hair for less than 10 seconds vs being exposed to constant heat for several minutes at a time for EVERY section. This was just one attempt to style my hair, forget using it several times a week!
I would buy something else. You can get an extremely nice high end flat iron for the same price. The zebra pattern and pink did look really cute though, and that was the only positive thing about it.

I love my instyler! I have long thick hair, so it takes forever for my hair to get straight with a flat iron. With the instyler it takes about 2-3 runs to get straight, so that saves a lot of time! I use my instyler everyday so i know how it works. I also am african american so my hair truly is thick !
