I bought this dress for our nieces upcoming wedding. Was not planning on wearing long at first, but then found out that Aunts were asked to wear something more formal. I am a very simple, classic dresser and didn't want to get involved with ruffles or chifon. I saw this dress and it was exactly what I was looking for. I first ordered the size 4 which is what I usually wear..it fit nice, but I felt like it was a little big. The dress is heavy..and after getting another opinion..ordered the size 2. Fits great, has a nice little stretch to it, hugs curves but not clingy. My only concern is that the "V" back is a little low..so it shows my bra strap, not sure how I am going to deal with it as I feel you really need to wear a bra. Over all I recommend getting this dress if you have any kind of formal event..classic and classy.

I am playing a piano recital and needed a long, somewhat formal dress to wear. Being in my 40's, I really don't want to show a lot of skin, especially upper body. This dress is perfect. The fabric hides lumps and bumps - and is a great fit. It also doesn't wrinkle. The neckline is perfect - no fear of accidental cleavage flashing. The side slit adds a bit of drama - I just have to "fix" it for the performance. When sitting down, it show A LOT of leg - or more than I prefer. Glad I purchased it!

Bought the dress for a black tie event since I didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars and I'm familiar with the Ralph Lauren line. I'm 5'4 and immediately thought I would need the dress hemmed. To my surprise, with 3 inch heels it fit perfectly. I was able to walk in the dress without feeling like I was going to trip on the fabric. I would give it 5 stars but the fabric by the slit doesn't lay right until after you continually adjust the material around your chest and back. Very classy and simply stated. Dress will never go out of style. I plan on dressing it up with jewelry. "deep v back" is really not the case. It has a small v back. Nice if you want to wear your hair up. Material is heavy but not over powering so nice for cooler weather. Hugs all your curves.
