I bought this dress in an 18 months size to take my daughter's 1 year pictures. It is a beautiful dress. It fits very easily on and it is probably pretty comfortable to wear. My daughter is walking but still falls a lot, she's a typical 1 year old. The dress is longer, below the knee, so everytime she tried to get up, she stepped on the dress, and each time, it pulled on the fabric and created small tears all over it. So one wear and the dress is essentially through. So the dress is not at all practical for the age group for which it is sized. If the child were perhaps not mobile, held, or older and doesn't fall much, it might be a great dress. I would think for most purposes though, the dress is very delicate, and great care must be taken while wearing it, for it to last well. I did wash it and it washed okay on hand washing cycle and hanging to dry. However, it just doesn't look right anymore with so many pulls everywhere.
