The wedge provides a lot of stability. It is a versatile shoe. Tall shoe 4"1/4" tall with a 1 1/4" platform but it feels stable with the wedge. I would say on the foot bed where it transitions from the metallic to the black which hits under the ball of my foot is not as comfortable as it could be. But I got used to it after I wore them for a while.
