I purchased these leggings for an upcoming trip across the country with very high expectations. I've owned several other Spanx products in the past and have been VERY pleased with the product, so obviously Spanx was my 'go-to' brand when compared with others. I tried on several other leggings by other brands, but just kept going back to my past experience with Spanx, so I purchased these leggings without trying them on.
First off, I fall into the Medium category based on the size chart for these leggings, but decided to purchase a Large just to be on the safe side. As soon as I put them on, I could tell they would be see-through in the thighs. They are a very good quality material (like a very thick tight, but very breathable), but I do not feel like they're that much better quality than any of the other leggings that cost half as much as these did. Secondly, I wanted something that was going to be high wasted in an effort to avoid extra lumps and bumps showing through my clothing. Sadly, the top of the pant does not have the rubber part that many of the other Spanx products have to keep them from sliding down. I have pulled the leggings up about every five minutes since I put them on, which looks ridiculous considering it looks like I'm messing with my bra every time I do it.
Overall, I am pleased with the quality, and will more than likely keep the leggings, I just do NOT think they are worth the price. There are much better products that cost far less.
