I have owned both this one and the spanx version so can describe the differences.  The TC shaper does a great job of sucking you in and has wide, comfortable shoulder straps, but there are some design flaws.  1) The back material rises up pretty close to the neck which means you can't wear anything with a low cut back.  Spanx is cut a little lower on the back.  2) The end of the leg has a sticky substance that keeps the leg from rolling up however, it becomes uncomfortable and causes a bulge on your leg.  Spanx doesn't have this sticky stuff nor does it create a bulge.  3) This is what I consider the biggest problem and is what caused me to go purchase the spanx version.  There are lines on the front hip/pelvis area where that leg material and torso material meet.  These lines show through if you are wearing a jersey dress, etc., and look like panty lines on the front of your body which I found very embarrassing.  The spanx version doesn't have these lines anywhere.  So I recommend spending a little more for the spanx.

i had this product for a week and it unravelled in a small place along a bottom seam. i repaired it myself. then less than two weeks later a completely different seam completely unravelled. this shaper is poorly made. i strongly recommend upgrading to spankx.
