I recently moved to Chicago from the south west and had a heck of a time finding gloves that were practical (when walking my dogs) and would keep my hands warm. I bought half a dozen other gloves that did NOT do it. These mittens are perfect for me. My fingers are never cold and the flip back top and thumbs work great for maneuvering two separate dog leashes.
