This is probably the nicest one I've ever owned, and at 60 years old, I've owned quite a few crock pots over the years. I got an excellent deal at costco, at a price I couldn't resist! I am giving my old pot to a friend who is just learning how to use them. I would enjoy the lunch pot, since I don't have access to my own microwave at work.

What good is convenience if flavor is destroyed? Every dish I've ever made in this CrockPot results in the same terrible burnt flavor at the end. I've tried chili, curry, and soups; they all end with the same terrible flavor. The only success I've had is making food in other pots and then placing it in the CrockPot to stay warm. Clearly there is an issue with the heating element in this device or with the materials in the pot itself that it imparts this terrible taste. I've had the same result using both the low and high settings. I'm not satisfied, and it was a waste of money (and a lot of food). I'm now looking to purchase something else.

Cracking all the way through ceramic liner

      By

Comments about Crock Pot Stainless Steel 6-Quart Slow Cooker with Little Dipper Warmer:

I purchased this crockpot a year ago replacing my original crockpot from the early 80's (which is still in operation). I opted for the larger pot. I used this Crockpot about twice a month. I have noticed that It seems to overheat even on the "keep warm" selection. Staining can be found inside the heating element from tiny cracks allowing food to leak. It is a shame that the quality of the products (or at least this model) can not compare to the older versions. I would not recommend this unit.

      Broken Stoneware

Comments about Crock Pot Stainless Steel 6-Quart Slow Cooker with Little Dipper Warmer:

I got this crock pot a month ago to replace the old one my grandmother gave to me ... it worked great for 2 days, then on the third use while I was cooking in it the stoneware cracked down the middle!!! Needless to say food was everywhere. I would not advise anyone to buy this product unless you plan on spending money on replacement stoneware!!!

Love it! Higher heat than other crock pots I have

      By

Comments about Crock Pot Stainless Steel 6-Quart Slow Cooker with Little Dipper Warmer:

I have had this Crock Pot for a year now and it is my favorite. I have several other crock pots and have noticed that this one definitely cooks on a higher heat --which is great for when you want to cook things rather quickly. If I want to cook more slowly, I pull out one of my others --which is very rare. In the summertime, this crock is in daily use (since I like to cook outside to keep my kitchen cooler). I rarely use the high heat setting and sometimes even use the "keep warm" setting to cook on too (yes, it will still boil on the keep warm setting). But when I cook beans, I always use the high setting so that I won't have to wait all day long to get them done. Awesome pot!

      Useless

Comments about Crock Pot Stainless Steel 6-Quart Slow Cooker with Little Dipper Warmer:

I’ve had the 6 qt countdown digital slow cooker for about 18 months. I always followed the directions for the amount of food and liquid to put in it. I’ve used it about 5 times and every time I used it, my meal ended up scorched because there doesn’t seem to be any difference between the low and the high settings and the “keep warm setting is way too hot (boiling) with no change from the high or low setting. The lid rattles almost constantly while the contents are cooking and liquid bubbles over and spatters all over the surrounding area. I think the lid needs to be heavier so that this doesn’t happen. I’ve tried to adjust my cooking times but nothing has worked and this kind of defeats the purpose if I have to stay close by and watch it. Today (the sixth time ever used) the crock pot just stopped working. It starts cooking and then after a random period of time it turns itself off. I had my first crock pot for 30 years and it never failed but I needed something larger. This is a disappointment.

I have used this several times, clean up so easy, I needed a new crock pot and I chose this particular one because of being able to use it on the stove top. My only small problem is not being able to use metal spoons and needs to be more dishwasher safe!!! Cooks wonderful

      Cooks way too hot!

Comments about Crock Pot Stainless Steel 6-Quart Slow Cooker with Little Dipper Warmer:

Boils on High, on Low and even on Keep Warm!!! This can't be right! Luckily, I have an old crockpot, but I like the fact that this will "supposedly" go to a Keep Warm setting if I can't get home in time to turn it off. Does the company have a fix for this???

Warm Setting is the hottest setting

      By

Comments about Crock Pot Stainless Steel 6-Quart Slow Cooker with Little Dipper Warmer:

If I want this crock-pot to boil within 30 minutes all I have to do is use the warm setting. The high setting is hot, the low setting is hot, and the warm setting is the hottest. I don't dare leave this unit unattended and consequently rarely use it. I have to rely on my older and smaller slow cooker when I want to cook a slow cooker meal.

      Worked great...until digital component died.

Comments about Crock Pot Stainless Steel 6-Quart Slow Cooker with Little Dipper Warmer:

We've been using our crockpot for over a year and have really liked it. The timer feature was one of the main reasons we picked this crockpot. Unfortunately the digital element broke today while we were cooking in it... huge bummer. Thankfully we noticed it was off within an hour so food was still warm and we could transfer to pot on stovetop. Would have been really sad if we hadn't noticed for hours. Gave fair rating because we liked it so much..but now it's unusable.
