As an exceptional artisanal creation, your Diptyque candle deserves the utmost care. Follow these guidelines to optimize its lifespan and enjoy it safely.

Placement

• Place your candle on a flat, heat-resistant surface.
• Protect delicate materials such as wood or marble with a stand or tray.
• Keep candles away from flammable materials.
• Keep candles out of reach of children and pets.

Lighting

• We recommend lighting your candle with a match to avoid any risk of burning yourself.
• During the first burn, let the candle burn until a uniform pool of melted wax has formed (about 4 hours depending on the scent). This prevents wax tunneling and ensures an even burn thereafter.

While Burning

• Do not burn the candle for more than 4 hours at a time after the first burn.
• Never leave a burning candle unattended.
• Do not move a burning or unlit hot candle.
• Keep it away from drafts.
• Leave at least 10 cm (4 inches) between two candles.

After Each Use

• Snuff out the flame using a snuffer to avoid splashing hot wax.
• Re-center the wick once the candle is out.
• Before relighting, trim the wick to an ideal length of 3 to 5 mm to avoid the risk of fire.

Final Note

• Discontinue use when there is only 5 mm of wax left or the metal wick sustainer base becomes visible.
