I've had the watch a few weeks now. Really wanted something that counted my steps, showed my messages and looked traditional. This watch has done all those and more!

As I wore it more and more, I started to really understand and like the great features it has like showing my Google cards. Getting a notification when I'm leaving for work about traffic is a great way this watch integrates with and android phone.

Battery life has been on par with my previous smart watch. I can get an entire day of use with no issues at all. Usually have 20% left at the end of a day with moderate use. If it's charged in the morning and will get me through a busy work day and make it until bedtime, that's a win in my book.

I also Enjoy the ability to customize it with tons of great affordable bands from fossil. I customized my watch with a grey leather band that the nice lady at the store recommended and she even changed the silver buckle with the black one to match my watch.

I had an AW Sport and for what I used it for I couldn't justify the looks of it and the higher initial price tag and higher band price tag over this.

      Great job Fossil!

This is my second Android Wear watch, after the original Moto 360. I wanted to move to a watch designed by a timepiece maker instead of a tech company but have been let down by the lackluster components Fossil has decided to use in their second generation watches.

As a piece of jewelry that rests on your wrist, I think the Q Wander is a resounding success! Unlike my former smartwatch, this one has some heft to it. The steel case feels solid, as well as the ceramic (?) back. I like that the lugs have a non-traditional design that remind me quite a bit of a Shinola watch. The black silicone strap is incredibly soft and pliable. The size is good, too, with a bit smaller screen and slightly larger bezel. Unless it's glowing with a notification, it looks more in line with a regular timepiece that a piece of tech strapped to my wrist.

But it's a step back in quality in other ways. The screen -- arguably the most important part of a smartwatch -- is very low quality. It has easily the worst viewing angles of any LCD I can remember and swiping through the interface shows considerable motion blur. The screen also has the "flat tire" cut-out, usually reserved for the immensely useful Ambient Light Sensor. Except this watch doesn't have the sensor! It makes absolutely no sense to not have a full circle if you're going to leave off the only reason to have a flat tire. I guess Fossil got a deal on cheap, semi-circle displays!

And even though it uses Snapdragon's 2100 chip especially made for wearables, I've found a fair bit of stutter and lag. In many ways, my previous watch, what with its aged internals, is still a better performer. But the watch does have some tricks many other Android Wear watches don't have, like the external speaker for phone calls and media playback.

I've had considerable trouble with the small, magnetic charging puck as well. The watch only ships with the cable and not a wall wart, which isn't that big a deal since I have MANY sitting around the house. But for the first hour (during setup), I couldn't tell if the watch was getting a charge (it wasn't). I wasn't sure if the wall warts I was using were under or over performing, possible causing harm to the $300 watch! Eventually, with a fair amount of manual fiddling, I could get the charging indicator and screen to come on. It charges very slowly, too. My previous watch has a foolproof dock that always works and charges MUCH faster. Users in other forums indicate theirs do pick up a charge right away, so I may have a faulty unit.

Besides the looks, the best aspect of the Q Wander is the battery life. I could get a full workday worth of use from my previous smartwatch but not much else; however, the longevity of this one is fantastic! I use "Always-On" mode and have easily half the battery left at the end of long day. No need to top it up before going out on the weekend.

Ultimately, I'm not sure I got my money's worth from this watch. I guess I was expecting -- at minimum -- the same performance from my much older watch, but with the looks and style of a Fossil timepiece.

      Not What I Expected

Comments about Fossil Q Wander Touchscreen Silicone Smart Watch:

I bought this watch for my partner as an anniversary gift, thinking that it would be pretty comparable to an Apple Watch in features but more her style aesthetically. I was told when I bought it that it synced well with iPhones and that she would be able to text, talk, download workout apps, etc. Instead we found that there are a lot of limitations that I wasn't told about even when asked directly about them, but when we tried to return it they would not let us. Now I feel like I have wasted hundreds of dollars on a watch that is not what I was told it would be. Do your own research and make sure that this watch actually has all of the features that you are looking for!

Great Phone ,God's features but it won't stay connected to my phone. Very frustrating when you are waiting for them to communicate with each other. Don't know about this watch.

      Disappointing Experience

Comments about Fossil Q Wander Touchscreen Silicone Smart Watch:

Disappointing experience. Band size was too small, connectivity issues, then the bottom of the face turn black, couldn't read the number "6" on watch face. This part was weird as the screen was fine before I started charging and when I finished charging, the bottom was blacked out. All in all, I had it a week before returning. I've had two other Fossil watches that were awesome, but this was a major disappointment. I decided to save $200 and return it.

Horrible battery, worst Android Wear experience

Comments about Fossil Q Wander Touchscreen Silicone Smart Watch:

Bought it two weeks ago, should have saved my money. Takes FOREVER to charge and then is out of charge in 6 hours with little to no use, optimized and the screen turned off to save battert. Ok Google barely works, watch face (display) is crooked, half the apps crash constantly. The only reason this hasn't been returned is I haven't had time. My $50 off brand runs circles around this. I had high expectations for Fossil, was completely let down. Not worth the money even on sale. Would not recommend this watch to anyone.

Comments about Fossil Q Wander Touchscreen Silicone Smart Watch:

I am still learning about all the fun I can have with this watch! I have managed to have a few calls directly from the watch, which is super cool, and love the many face changes that can make it feel like a new watch every day! I use it for the activity tracking and keeping track of appointments and meetings. It's working its way into my daily wardrobe!

Comments about Fossil Q Wander Touchscreen Silicone Smart Watch:

Bought this a month ago and I like it. It does what I want it to do (give time and alert notifications) but you have to have the app open at ALL TIMES in order for it to sync which I don't like. It's also touchy because my watch face is always changed from me accidentally swiping. I like that I can play pandora on it but sometimes the connection doesn't stay very well for some reason. Overall I like it
