I absolutely LOVE the timecheck lotion! I really like the fact that it's a hybrid between a moisturizer and a primer so if you want to, you can eliminate that extra step. But what really makes me love this product is that it blurs out pores and lines but without that nasty silicone/silky/greasy feeling that most pore reducing primers feel like. Makes your makeup glide right on and sits beautifully throughout the day. A must have!

It's an okay product. The label mentioned "hydrating", not sure about that. I had to use a light moisturizer under it because my face felt a little dry (especially during the winter). One thing for sure it definitely reduces the appearance of pores and it gives your makeup a smoother finish. *Keep in mind there's other products that can do the same for less money.*

        Good for men

        By

Comments about MAC Mineralize Timecheck Lotion:

It's a nice moisturizer but terrible under makeup. It does have a smooth matte finish so I gave it to my boyfriend. It works great for him as a daily light moisturizer.

        Just Great

Comments about MAC Mineralize Timecheck Lotion:

I have re-purchased this already three times. I can't start my makeup without this being one of my steps. I first found this product when I had a MAC girl do my makeup at Macy's. She told me all the benefits of using this as my first step in doing my makeup. It has not let me do at all. Such a great product!

Comments about MAC Mineralize Timecheck Lotion:

This is the best primer, this holds my make up in place ,starts my face with a great foundation and helps with those tiny imperfections.

        this did nothing for me

        By

        from Chicago, IL

Comments about MAC Mineralize Timecheck Lotion:

I purchased this to pair with my mineralize foundation and I don't feel like it does anything at all. I've also worn it alone to see if it was better alone, but sadly, it's not. I've finished the bottle and there was never any visible results. I have normal/combo skin and it made me more oily than usual. I guess it would be better for people with dry skin, but why pay this much for a glorified lotion? I wouldn't suggest it personally.

Love the lotion, hate the bottle.

Comments about MAC Mineralize Timecheck Lotion:

The timecheck lotion is very moisturizing but because it is so thick, you can't use it all up and end up throwing quite a bit out.

        Dispense Knowledgeably to Benefit Impressively

        By

        from Florida

Comments about MAC Mineralize Timecheck Lotion:

A makeup artist immediately understood my dismay when I called because I had tried to spray my face with M-A-C's Mineralize Timecheck Lotion and had lost a lot of product. I found the nozzle misleading.

"It's not a spray," the rep corrected me. "You pump it out and press the gel base into your face." So pump this stellar primer, with some restraint, and enjoy its impressive advantages. Some reviewers have complained that it's impossible to extract the lotion when it reaches a low level in the frosted bottle. This would be a shame as the nourishing mineral-rich base is pricey. Since M-A-C makes spray as well as pump dispensers, a directive on the container would be appreciated by the addled and forgetful.

Here's the key for consumers who find themselves confused and possibly dismayed by words on their flasks. M-A-C bottles with lotion to be pumped and applied to the face do not provide instructions. A spray like Lightful C Marine-Bright Formula Softening Lotion declares that it is a spray. M-A-C's Prep + Prime Fixante Rafraîchissante is, in French, a "brume." "Brume" means "mist" in English. It's a spray!

Is the word "lotion" on the bottle? Pump some out unless advised to spritz or mist. The French word for "pump" is "pompe." You won't find it on the Timecheck label. In my opinion, both English and French words can help. Absent company clarification, call a M-A-C makeup artist and provide the names of the product or products that you find puzzling. Timecheck has a pump but doesn't plump. It does do a wonderful job of smoothing, hydrating, reducing pore size, and seeing to it that your foundation stays in place.

        Multi-uses

Comments about MAC Mineralize Timecheck Lotion:

M.A.C global artist Vimi Joshi recommended this product to me, because its moisturising without making my skin look greasy. and it sure feels great and moisturising.

I love how this product can be used for a number of things, like making a full coverage foundation feel lighter. its very lightweight and almost liquedy but great as a primer as its kind of tightening and firming.

        Smooth tightening effect

        By

Comments about MAC Mineralize Timecheck Lotion:

Ok so im a male flight attendant and i wear foundation because it's just part of the job. Lol. I decided to try a new foundation as i had been using Studio sculpt but in an NC which i was matched with but i didnt like the yellowish tones and it never seemed to set. I felt like powder made it look less natural (i didnt want to look like i was wearing makeup, per se). I had seen videos of Prolong wear and so i decided to get matched for it and try it out there in the Macy's MAC counter. I fell in love. I then told the artist that i use a cheap primer and asked if there was anything in MaC line for oilyskin/large pores. Her eyes lit up. Shes like try this! And she rubbed some Timecheck lotion in on other side opposite of Prolongwear. I felt a slight cooling and smooth soft non oily feel. So impressed. Then she applied the prolongwear on top so i could compare. I LOVED the finished look. I feel like u cant tell i have anything on. Looks so natural. So smooth and matches my skin tone perfectly. The ONLY complaint i have, well 2. One i havent experienced but i know as i get down to the end of the bottle it will be hard to get all of it out due to design. Also (maybe yur supposed to let Timecheck set? But there is a slight i mean barely noticeable sticky'ish to the touch where foundation alone seemed to set as if it were powdered. Smooth almost airbrush effect. Gonna try letting it set a few min next time before applying foundation. But still i rated it 5 because my skin felt firmer and my pores were noticeably smaller. I love love love both of these products!! They work perfectly together.

Excellent Primer for Dry Skin and Large Pores!

        By

        from Massachusetts

Comments about MAC Mineralize Timecheck Lotion:

I have very dry, flaky skin with large pores. This becomes even more exaggerated when I apply makeup. I had a MAC consultant put this on my skin before applying a foundation and it's never looked so good! I think half the battle is using it properly. She used a 170 brush and applied using a stippling motion, but only where I needed it--not all over my face. Basically, where I have issues with my pores. I use this conservatively with the pro wear foundation and it looks fantastic! I've even noticed that my skin looks better, too. Definitely worth it!
